16、rCDs,however, are not possible.1Select CDsource.2Press OPENCLOSEon the topof the system to open the CD compartment.OPEN is displayed when youopen the CD compartment.3Insert a disc with the printed sidefacing up and press down on OPENCLOSEto close the CD door.READ is displayed as the CD player scans
17、thecontents of a disc, and then the total number oftracks and playing time are shown.4Press PLAYPAUSE2;(on the remotecontrol 2) to start playback.Current track number and elapsed playingtime of the track are displayed during discplayback.5To interrupt playback press PLAYPAUSE2;(on the remote control

20、PAUSE 2;(on theremote control 2) to start playback.Finding a passage within a track1Press and hold down on PREV1 or NEXT2.The disc is played at high speed and lowvolume.2When you recognise the passage you want,release PREV1 or NEXT2.Normal playback continues.Note: During a disc programme or if SHUFF
21、LE/REPEAT active, searching is only possible within thesame track.Different play modes:SHUFFLEand REPEATYou can select and change the various playmodes before or during playback.The playmodes can also be combined with PROGRAMME. SHUFFLE.tracks of the entire disc/ programme are played inrandom orderS

Programming radio stationsYou can store up to a total of 40 radio stationsin the memory.Automatic programmingAutomatic programming will start with a chosenprese

From this preset numberupwards,former programmed radio stations willbe overridden.The system will only programmestations which are not in the memory already.1Press PRESET4or 3 ( or on theremote control) to select the preset number where programming should start.Note: If no preset number is
32、 selected,default is preset(1) and all your presets will be overridden.2Press PROGRAMon the system or remotecontrol for more than 2 seconds to activate programming.AUTOis displayed and available stations areprogrammed in order of waveband receptionstrength:FM followed byMW and LW. The lastpreset aut

42、sdisplayed briefly.NEWSis displayed if you haveactivated the NEWS or TA option.Changinglistening source will not disarm the function.Notes: To avoid unwanted recordings, the NEWSannouncement does not work while recording acassette.When you receive RDS news or trafficannouncements during CD playback,
43、 playback willpause and you will be able to hear the news/TA.Playback resumes after the broadcast has finished.In tape mode, the tape continues playing but youwill hear the news/TA only until the broadcast hasfinished. If you are using the RDS NEWS announcementwith an EON station, the whole network
