IDENTIFICATION: Regardless of speci

18、al logo (not always indicated) one must treat all sets from 1 Jan 2005 onwards, according next rules: Example S/N: Bottom line of typeplate gives a 14-digit S/N. Digit 52;In DISC mode, to startor interrupt playback.#VOL +/-adjusts the volume upward/downward.adjusts the hoursand minutes in clock/time

19、rsetting mode.switches the set timer ON or OFF.$REPEATto repeat a track/disc.%SUBTITLEselects a subtitle language. SLEEPto set the sleep (auto-off) timer function.opens the tape compartment.PAUSE.interrupts recording or playback.Controls on the remote control1yswitches the system on/off.2Numeric Key

20、pad (0-9)inputs a track/title/chapter number of the disc.inputs the number of a preset radio station.3PROGRAMDVD/VCD/CD/MP3-CD:entersthe programmenu.Picture CD:during playback,to select a slideshow mode.Tuner: programs preset radio stations.4 SOURCEto select the respectivesound source :DISCTUNER,TAP

23、IALUse the composite video cable (yellow) toconnect the systems VIDEOjack to the videoinput jack (or labelled as A/V In,Video In,Composite or Baseband) on the TV set.ConnectionsStep 2:Connecting speakersConnect the speaker wires to the SPEAKERSterminals, right speaker to “RIGHT“ and leftspeaker to “

24、LEFT“,coloured (marked) wire to“+“ and black (unmarked) wire to “-“.Fullyinsertthe stripped portion of the speaker wire intothe terminal as shown.Notes: -Ensure that the speaker cables are correctlyconnected.Improper connections may damagethesystem due to short-circuit.-For optimal sound performance

25、, use thesupplied speakers.-Do not connect morethan one speaker to anyone pair of +/- speaker terminals.-Do not connect speakerswith an impedancelower than the speakerssupplied.Please refer tothe SPECIFICATIONS section of this manual.Step 3:Antenna connectionMW Antenna Connect the supplied MW loop a

26、ntenna to the “MW AERIAL“ terminal.Adjust the position ofthe antenna for optimal reception.Position the antenna as far as possible from a TV,VCR or other radiation source.CONNECTION AND CONTROLSConnectionsStep 1:Placing speakersFrontspeaker ( left )Frontspeaker ( right )VIEWING AREAPlace the front l

28、is located at the rear ofthe system. -Before connecting the ACpower cord tothe wall outlet,ensure that all otherconnections havebeen made.-Never make or change any connectionswith the power switched on.Toavoid overheating of the system,asafety circuit has been built in.Therefore,your system may swit

31、 the disc through a VCR ordigital recording device.When making connections,make surethe colour of cables matches the colourof jacks. 33、n,press SOURCEonthe front panel to select AUX or press AUXonthe remote in order to activate the input source. Using the VCR for recording DVDs BConnect one of the systems VIDEO OUTjacks to the corresponding VIDEO IN jack andLINE OUT (R/L)jacks to the AUDIO IN jackson the VCR.This will allowyou to ma

34、ke analoguestereo (two channel,right and left) recordings.Recording (digital) CConnect the systems COAXIALjack to theDIGITAL IN jack on a digital recording device(such as DTS-Digital Theatre compatible, withDolby Digital decoder).Before starting operation,set the AUDIO OUTaccording to the audio conn
