When replacing a component identified with , use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistance, wattage, or voltage that are designated in the parts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to d
9、etermine that exposed parts are acceptably insulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer. Some semiconductor (solid state) devices can be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are called Electrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of ty
10、pical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors and semiconductor chip components. The following techniques should be used to help reduce the incidence of component damage caused by static electricity. 1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semicondu
11、ctor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge on your body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharging wrist strap device, which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test. 2. Aft
12、er removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to prevent electrostatic charge build-up or exposure of the assembly. 3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices. 4. Use only an anti-static
13、solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical charges sufficient to damage ES devices. 5. Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices. 6. Do not remove a replacement ES device fr
14、om its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacement ES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.) 7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the lea
15、ds of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to the chassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed. Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or circuit, and observe all other safety precautions. 8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES
16、 devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing together or your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient to damage an ES devices. Be sure that any protective devices such as nonmetallic control knobs, insulating fish- papers,cabinetbacks,adjust
18、mentand compartment covers or shields, isolation resistor-capacitynetworks,mechanical insulators, etc. Which were removed for the servicingareproperlyre-installed. Use a VTVM or VOM with 1000 ohms per volt, or higher sensitivity to measure the AC voltage drop across the resistor. (See diagram) Move the resistor connection to each exposed metal

38、the edge of a finger on the left or right edge of the panel and gently swing the door down towards you. 1 Standby/On Switch: When the Main Power Switch A is “ON,” press this button to turn on the AVR 635; press it again to turn the unit off. Note that the illumination surrounding the switch will tur
39、n blue when the unit is on. 2 Surround Mode Group Selector: Press this but- ton to select the top-level group of surround modes. Each press of the button will select one of the sur- round mode categories. Once the button is pressed so that the name of the desired surround mode category appears in th
40、e on-screen display and in the Lower Display Line $, press the Surround Mode Selector 3 to cycle through the individual modes available. For example, press this button to select Dolby modes, and then press the Surround Mode Selector 3 to choose from the various mode options. 3 Surround Mode Selector
41、: Press this button to select from among the available surround mode options for the surround mode category selected. The specific modes will vary based on the number of speakers available, the surround mode category and whether the input source is digital or analog. For exam- ple, press the Surroun

45、 or decrease the frequency by one increment.When the tuner receives a strong-enough signal for adequate reception, MANUAL TUNED will appear in the Lower Display Line $ and in the on-screen display.When the tuner is in the AUTO/STEREO mode, press the button once, and the tuner will scan for a station
46、 with acceptable signal strength.When the next higher- or lower-frequency station with a strong- enough signal is tuned, the frequency scan will stop and the Lower Display Line $ and the on-screen display will indicate AUTO TUNED.When an FM Stereo station is tuned, the display will read AUTO ST TUNE
