When replacing a component identified with, use only the replacement parts designated, or parts with the same ratings or resistan
5、ce, wattage, or voltage that are designated in theparts list in this manual. Leakage-current or resistance measurements must be made to determine that exposed parts are acceptablyinsulated from the supply circuit before retuming the product to the customer.Some semiconductor (solid state) devices ca
6、n be damaged easily by static electricity. Such components commonly are calledElectrostatically Sensitive (ES) Devices. Examples of typical ES devices are integrated circuits and some field effect transistors andsemiconductor chip components.The following techniques should be used to help reduce the
7、 incidence of component damage caused by static electricity.1. Immediately before handling any semiconductor component or semiconductor-equipped assembly, drain off any electrostatic charge onyour body by touching a known earth ground. Alternatively, obtain and wear a commercially available discharg
8、ing wrist strap device,which should be removed for potential shock reasons prior to applying power to the unit under test.2. After removing an electrical assembly equipped with ES devices, place the assembly on a conductive surface such as aluminum foil, toprevent electrostatic charge build-up or ex
9、posure of the assembly.3. Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or unsolder ES devices.4. Use only an anti-static solder removal device. Some solder removal devices not classified as anti-static can generate electrical chargessufficient to damage ES devices.5. Do not use freon-propelled c
10、hemicals. These can generate electrical change sufficient to damage ES devices.6. Do not remove a replacement ES device from its protective package until immediately before you are ready to install it. (Most replacementES devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted together by conductive fo
11、am, aluminum foil or comparable conductive material.)7. Immediately before removing the protective material from the leads of a replacement ES device, touch the protective material to thechassis or circuit assembly into which the device will be installed.Be sure no power is applied to the chassis or
12、 circuit, and observe all other safety precautions.8. Minimize bodily motions when handling unpackaged replacement ES devices. (Otherwise harmless motion such as the brushing togetheror your clothes fabric or the lifting of your foot from a carpeted floor can generate static electricity sufficient t

Inspect all lead dress to make certain thatleads are not pinched or that hardware is notlodged between the chassis and other metalpartsintheunit.2. Be sure that any protective devices such asnonmetallic control knobs, insulating fish-papers,
14、cabinetbacks,adjustmentandcompartment covers or shields, isolationresistor-capacitynetworks,mechanicalinsulators, etc. Which were removed for theservicingareproperlyre-installed.Before returning the unit to the user, perform the following safety checks :3. 15、 for leakagecurrentusingSimpsonModel229LeakageTester,standardequipment item No. 21641, RCA Model WT540A or usealternate method asfollows : Plug the power cord directlyInto a 120 volt AC receptacle (do not use an IsolationTransformer for this test). Using two clip leads, connect a1500ohms,10wattResis
16、torparalleledbya0.15uFcapacitor,inserieswithallexposedmetalcabinetpartsandaknownearthground,suchas a water pipe or conduit. Use a VTVM or VOM with 1000 ohms per volt, or higher sensitivity to measure the AC voltage drop across theresistor. (See diagram) Move the resistor connection to each exposed m
17、etal part having a return path to the chassis (antenna, metal,cabinet,screwheads,knobsandcontrolshafts,escutcheon,etc.)andmeasuretheACvoltagedropacrosstheresistor.(Thistestshouldbeperformedwiththe0.35voltRMSormoreisexcessiveandindicatesapotentialshockhazardwhichmustbecorrectedbeforereturningtheunitt

Aim the remote at this areaand do not block or cover it unless an externalremote sensor is installed.listening to a program that carries the DolbyDigital surround mode when listening to aprogram that carries the Dolby Digi
33、tal information.Press thisbutton to select the Dolby Pro Logic surroundmode when listening to an analog ordigital(PCM) program that is encoded withsurround-sound information.Press this buttonto select the Dolby 3 Stereo listening mode.This mode is used primarily when a programhas surround informatio
34、n when a center channelspeaker, but no surround speakers, is installed.Press one ofthese buttons to select the analog surroundmodes. 38、 button for a long period will automaticallytune to the next station with a signal strongenough for acceptable reception.Press this button toautomatically scan through the station that havebeen programmed in the AVR-35s memory.The tuner will play five seconds of each stationbefore moving to the next
39、 preset station. To stopthe scan when the desired station is heard, pressthe button again.Press this buttonto select stations that have been entered into thepreset memory.Press this button toselect the auto or mono mode for FM tuning.In the AUTO mode,indicator willilluminate in the information displ
40、ay, and whenstations are transmitting stereo signals, thestereo reception will be provided andindicator will also be illuminated in theinformation display. In the MONO mode the leftand right signals from stereo broadcasts will bemixed together and reproduced through allchannels. Select MONO for bett

To turn the unit off and prevent the use ofthe remote control, this switch should be presseduntil it pops out
46、 from the panel so that the wordOFF may be read at the top of the switch.In normal operation this switch is left inthe ON position.When the MainPower Switch 1 is ON, press this button toturn on the AVR-35 ; press it again to turn theunit off. 47、e unit is on.This LED will illuminate inamber when the unit is in the Standby mode tosignal that the unit is ready to be turned on.When the unit is in operation, the indicator willturn green.This jack may be usedto listen to the AVR-35s output through a pair ofheadphones. Set thiscontrol to a suitable position for your taste and
49、room acoustics.Turn this control to modifythe high frequency output of the left / rightchannels by as much as +/-10dB.Set this control to a suitable position for yourtaste and room acoustics.Turn this control tochange the relative volume for the front left /right channels.For proper operation of the
50、 surroundmodes this control should be at the midpoint, or12 oclock position.These audio / video inputsmay be used for temporary connection of videogames, camcorder, digital still cameras orportable audio products.
